ARRIVAL:

The closest arrival airport is: Humberto Delgado Airport, also known as Lisbon International Airport (Airport code: LIS).
It’s easy to get a taxi or Uber from the airport to central Lisbon. Helpful tip: If you decide to take a taxi, make sure you go to the official taxi line to get a taxi (don’t be fooled by the entrepreneurial folks who approach you in the terminal or at baggage claim).

Check in at our Lisbon hotel, Hotel Alegria, is 3:00pm. If you arrive early, you can drop off your luggage at the front desk and they will store it for you until your room is ready. Please plan to arrive at the hotel by 4:00pm so you have time to get checked in and settled before dinner. If you can, we encourage you to arrive early, as the neighborhood is filled with incredible boutiques and restaurants. DEPARTURE:

After breakfast on the morning of Friday, October 3, we’ll drive from our rural retreat in the Alentejo back to Lisbon, which about a 2.5 hour drive, depending on traffic. You’ll have the option to be dropped off either at the Lisbon Airport or at a to-be-determined location in Central Lisbon, in the event you’re planning to extend your stay. If you plan to depart Lisbon on Friday, October 3, 2025, we recommend booking your flight, train, or other transportation for late afternoon.
